What You Will Be Doing
- Build, deploy and monitor routers, switches, firewalls, DDoS and intrusion detection systems
- Design and deliver highly available, resilient, and secure network automation capability that is cutting-edge
- Configure and deploy network security devices to support business needs
- Deploy access-list control based on business needs
- Mitigate Network Security incidents by deploying controls and counter-measures
- Liaise with vendors and professional services
- Develop tools to aggregate and monitor network events
- Swiftly execute change requests in communication with internal customers
What You Need for this Position
- Passion and aptitude for learning technology and solving problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Very STRONG Basic networking knowledge including Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSI model, routing and switching
- Knowledge in IPv6, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, Access-lists etc
- Knowledge in Server Virtualization with any tool - VmWare, Proxmox, etc
- Working knowledge of routers and switches in a lab environment.
- Can work independently with minimal guidance as well as collaboratively with other team members
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Broad knowledge and experience in scripting and programming with Python and shell script will be an ADDED ADVANTAGE
- Advanced knowledge of Linux, GIT, and code-sharing is a plus
- Experience using automation and orchestration software e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible is a plus
