Profile
The Director will manage the planning, implementation and operation of
information technology to enable the achievement of the organization
business objectives. He/She will translate the vision of the business
operational and finance teams into clear Business Requirements and
Process/System Change requirements and coordinates delivery of the IT
components leading to an efficient implementation of the changes with
the Business Leaders. The Director will work closely with the IT
Department to align development priorities, act as Product Owner and
provide specifications for the deployment of technology products. The
Director will also organize services and support to the user community
of the Security Service division. He/She will use a large spectrum of
competency in IT and to address any situations requiring leadership, IT
knowledge, decision making and project management and coordination.
He/She will become the subject matter expert on processes and
applications that are used by GardaWorld to provide Security Services to
its customers. As such, you will prepare business requirements
documents, build business cases, represent the voice of the
customer/users on projects for the delivery and implementation of a
business solution,
Tasks
- Serve as liaison between Business and IT for the Security Service division;
- Plan project stages and assessing business implications for each stage, monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and deployment cost/benefits targets are met;
- Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI); Prepare project business cases;
- Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Promote the use of innovative technologies that will provide benefits to the organization in building project business cases, project charter, cost-benefit and operational impact analysis;
- Manage a first line of support application help-desk; Coordinate with IT for second line of support request;
- Handle communications related to Incident management. Monitor system health/availability;
- Maximize use of the existing systems and identify opportunities for the integration of new technology;
- Establish and execute a Technology Project Roadmap and communication plan
And Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field, Information Systems or equivalent;
- Project Management skills and experience
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, and to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
- Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Ability to monitor or assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organization to make improvements or take corrective actions.
- Ability to work in a complex structure with ease (matrix)
- Ability to work with different levels of management within the organisation, from front line workers to executives
- Bilingual (French, English)
- Sufficient technical knowledge to investigate systems/applications related issues and recommend possible remediation
