Kilindi District is one of the 10 districts of Tanga Region in Tanzania. It is bordered by Handeni district on the east, Kilimanjaro Region on the west-north and Morogoro Region on the south.
In 2012 it had 236,833 residents living in 20 counties of the district.It split from Handeni District in 2002.
The district headquarters is located in Songe Ward.
