Job Role
Responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required, and in the most cost-effective way. Contribute to the creation and implementation of vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. To be responsible for maintaining the office structure and compliance with the government laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to policies and regulations
- Approves price increases provided in contracts and makes changes as necessary and appropriate
- Assist in planning and maintaining a balanced departmental budget
- Conducts research, evaluates findings, and makes decisions on procurement matters
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Developing business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions
- Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company
- Establish and periodically review departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Interviews vendors and evaluates their products and capabilities as suppliers
- Oversee facilities services, maintenance, other office activities and, offer solutions for improvement
- Plan, coordinate and manage all administrative procedures and systems, include alllocate responsibilities and office space, monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation and, keep track and record of all company assets
- Provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
- Purchase new material as needed and, manage schedules and deadlines
- Supervises, evaluates and directs the procurement activity of professional and technical personnel with accordance to the approved plan(s)
Education
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Tertiary level and related supply chain qualifications/training
Minimum Experience:
- 7 years working experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Administrative and facility management experience desired.
Job-specific Skills:
- Ability to perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities over others.
- Express ideas clearly while making oral presentations.
- Good understanding of automotive parts application/usage.
- Excellent IT skills, knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Familiar with all aspects of materials management, logistics and order cycle time, terms of delivery, and suppliers’ contracts.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Swahili
- Strong communication skills, internal and external.
- Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate leadership with good interpersonal skills.
- Integrity to maintain company image and Innovation for continual improvements.
- Able to provide creative ways to avoid problems in Supplying, Shipping & Clearance.
- Hard worker & ready to work under pressure
