Supervise subordinates to ensure that all system operators are equipped, trained and qualified to perform their duties in an appropriate manner.
This is a permanent role, with work roster being forty two (42) days on and twenty one (21) days off.
The CCTV Supervisors will report to the Asset Protection Superintendent.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The core output of the role is to supervise, analyse and profile information generated by the security technology systems.
- Define risk areas on ongoing basis using site and process evaluation, system reports, and video audits to identify risk areas, suspicious trends, suspects and incidents.
- Interpret system activity for the proactive detection of criminal activity and protection of company assets.
- Interpret system data to establish trends and questionable combinations of events as indicators of suspicious activities.
- Analyse surveillance reports, logs and reporting forms for trends and identify anomalies and inconsistencies that could identify crime situations analyse alarm events and logs to assess adherence to standard procedure and identify follow up requirements.
- Represent North Mara Mine on the mine site as a Surveillance Supervisor.
- Ensure that no Security member is in possession of a private firearm Mobile or traditional weapon while on duty.
- Supervise and assist in the direction of activities of the Security Department.
- Supervise the necessary programs and reporting functions that will facilitate timely reporting of incidents are adhered to.
- Ensure the security system’s integrity is maintained
- Supervise training of surveillance staff on Focussed and Targeted Surveillance
- Ensure that all North Mara Mine employees follow North Mara Mine security procedures.
- Arrange shift patterns ensuring all surveillance operator posts are manned 24 hours a day and rotated on a regular basis during the shift.
- Maintain the high standard of discipline expected from the Security department.
- Liaise with the Security investigation section to ensure that the system operators are kept informed of any events/ actions that may affect the security of the site.
- Liaise with and advise the CCTV and Security Coordinators of any events/ actions that may affect their area of responsibility and security on site.
- Carry out any instructions as directed by the Security Coordinator / Security Supt / Manager.
- Develop of junior Staff in Department
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of Secondary Education
- Extensive Security systems background at a supervisory level
- Proven and developed leadership skills
- Proven and developed administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Unquestionable integrity
- Culturally aware
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years sound supervision knowledge of managing security subordinates.
- Minimum 5 years CCTV Operator experience in a Mining Security Environment.
- Strong analysis/evaluation and problem solving ability (essential)
- Strong ability with Microsoft Office applications (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Abide to all voluntary principle of international human rights standards through daily conduct
- Follow Tanzanian laws pertaining to the Use of Force
- Exhibit high standards of business and personal ethical conduct
- Attention to details.
