Role Purpose and Key Accountabilities
Role purpose:
- The System Administrator’s role is to manage the system’s infrastructure which includes Systems Security, backups, performance management, Virtual, Private and public Infrastructure, projects implementation and managing Server Operating systems under scope
Key Accountabilities:
- System Deployment: Install, configure, test, automate and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Systems Maintenance & Monitoring: Proactively Monitor systems performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and Perform maintenance activities to the systems and report accordingly.
- System Security & Compliance: Ensure all systems are configured securely as per the existing policies, processes and best practices and as well as all systems under scope are compliant as per security requirements.
- Backup & Business Continuity Management: Ensure all systems are configured for backup as per systems criticality and updating technical recovery plan for all assigned systems.
- Customer/End User Support: Provide 1st, 2nd level support whenever required and Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution on IT systems and RCA (root cause analysis) for incidents

Knowledge and Professional Qualification:
- Knowledge in Centralized Netapp Storage
- Knowledge on Virtual and Private and AWS Cloud systems, (VMWARE V-Suite ).
- RDBMS Databases - MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Maria etc.
- Windows Server 2012 and above, Red hat UNIX/Linux Operating Systems, F5 Load balancers.
- Knowledge on HP/Dell/Oracle Hardware
- Backup Software and Hardware (EMC Commvault, Oracle ZFS, Netapp, NetBackup , EMC Networker and Comvault storage)
- At least 1-year Experience in IT System Infrastructure.
