Agricom Africa is a dominant and fast expanding agricultural solution provider in Tanzania with a network 12 branches across Tanzania, which include 3s facilities with vocational training capacities up to sales touch points. The company continues to build an ever-increasing portfolio of products and services comprising the world’s leading brands to serve the Tanzania Agribusiness sector. Agricom is an exclusive and distributor of KUBOTA & SWARAJ products (Tractors, Harvesters, power tillers & Implements)

As part of its growth strategy. Agricom Africa is expanding its portfolio to include Agro-commodities value chain and cold warehousing facilities, which includes the development of agricultural industrial hubs. Therefore we looking for a very Innovative Sales and Marketing Coordinator to work with the Commercial Manager and the Sales Team to drive revenue growth from selling a diversified range of products within the agricultural sector.

Job Purpose

Manage the entire Sales and Marketing portfolio so as to achieve Company’s Vision & Mission including; Financial planning & strategy, marketing concepts, people management, sales planning, competitive analysis, understanding Customers, product development, brand management, creative services.

Assisting the Commercial Manager and horizontally the General Manager for Agricom to implement marketing plans which will be owned and designed by the Sales and Marketing Coordinator for activity in Tanzania and all the branch coverage. This may extend into new business lines to be developed.

Coordinate and execute the plan by involving the necessary operational teams at levels throughout the business whilst remaining accountable to the plan, its a success.

Focus on innovation and transformative activities around technology – digital and e-commerce activity whilst understanding how to launch, engage and level the enquiry base through digital and online acquisitions.

Roles and Responsibilities

Branding and Marketing

  • Represent company’s brand and drives strategies to increase products awareness by observing the market, competitors and industry trends.
  • Implement strong branding strategies that will, increase sales volume, increase the product awareness by observing the market competitors and industry trend.
  • Aids marketing efforts through research, competitor activities and market trends analysis to support overall marketing strategy planning and execution specific to the brands
  • Expand customer base for the company’s products by identifying new customers and opportunities within the country and other territories.
  • Plan, Design and execute the Business Plans with the operational teams and the GM.

Marketing Development

  • Aids Sales teams by implementing platforms of effort to enable the conversion of sales whilst to identify, recommend and execute agreed initiatives to capitalize on new markets, growth areas, products and services improvement, diversification and expansion which are in line with the Brands we stand for or ultimately new Agri- Processing or trading lines.
  • Plan and develop digital marketing strategy, exhibitions, promotional campaigns, assess the performance of advertising campaigns and events for existing and new markets to ensure sustainable business growth and increase market share.
  • Compile farmers data and develop database with key farmers information which are potential for business growth, such as geographical locations, nature of farming activities, agricultural sector and agricultural schemes for potential business growth both short and long term.
  • Establish a commercial agriculture strategy and also oversee the implementation of the activation of new branches from a digital perspective or the launch of new brands.

Planning and Budgeting

  • Preparing sales and marketing budget, analyze and measure budget performance, measure variations on actual expenditure.
  • Manage the KPI’s with the service providers assisting in the planning, execution or even conception phase of marketing initiatives.
  • Works to strengthen relationships and partnerships with clients, (existing and potential) and other stakeholders to enhance business performance

Team Management

  • Builds and develops team members (through a dotted line to peers), playing a key role in performance management in the execution by the operations and marketing teams at the GM level and creating a robust image of success but result driven by means of making sales
  • Ensure all company systems are fully utilized, all marketing information and master data are captured, evaluates systems performance and suggest system improvements
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as required which envelope the grow or the evolution down the Agri Value Chain

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ Minimum in Marketing in Automotive or Agriculture Industry (Sales will be a plus)
  • Understanding of Maintenance/Mechanical/ Spare Parts in the business
  • Experience with Digital and E-Commerce (not necessarily in Automotive but strong plus)
  • Excellent Data Analytics and Performance Reporting
  • Understanding of the ERP Systems, CRM Systems, Inside Sales, E-Commerce
  • Excellent use of Ms Office and good network of Media Agencies (i.e. Media buyers)
  • Teamwork and collaboration (all-rounder – bottom up and on to operations teams)
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English and Kiswahili
  • Experience in Managing Digital Campaigns, E-Commerce and Social Media

Education

  • Degree in any relevant discipline but Marketing application desired.
