Main Purpose of Job: Our growing company is seeking to hire an Experienced Enterprise Solutions Engineer in the ICT industry with experience and specialties in: Infrastructure Strategy and Delivery, Business Processes and Applications, Solutions Architecture, High Performance Computing, Storage Solutions (SAN, NAS etc.), Server & Storage consolidation, Archiving, High Availability / Clustering, Data Migration, Data Centre Solutions, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Virtualization, Enterprise Backup & Recovery, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Network Design & Analysis, L2-L7 Switching and Routing, IT & Network Security, Unified Communication, Video-Conferencing, WAN Optimization, IT Professional Services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Be responsible for growing the company capabilities in the Banking & Financial Institutions and Telecom by developing and managing the existing client relationships and also aid in generating new sales business engagements.
2. Sales Enablement - Value selling of x86 range of servers, storage & software defined storage (HCI/SDI), HPC solutions, hardware and IT solutions to enterprise customers.
3. Presales Support - The successful candidate will be responsible for creating project scopes and product configurations for Server, Storage and Virtualisation opportunities also be required to work with the sales team to produce customer proposals and present solutions to the customer.
4. Customer Engagement and Retention - Act as a trusted adviser to customers through building knowledge of their environments and evangelising Cloud services capabilities to our customer base. Differentiating our client through its productised services, consulting capability and cloud expertise.
5. Consulting Services – The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering consulting services to customers of Core IT Infrastructure Technologies including servers, storage, virtualisation, networking, backup and IaaS, also working with Sales team and customers to qualify opportunities, understand requirements and define appropriate solutions.. Therefore the successful candidate will be expected to have a solid understanding of all of the solutions and technologies to be delivered.
6. Support and Implementation Services - The successful candidate will be responsible for implementation services and on- going support of desktop, server, storage, enterprise software and virtualisation solutions. The successful candidate may be required to act as a project lead which will mean that they will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered within the estimated cost and timeframes.
7. Documentation and Reporting – The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a detailed weekly, monthly and annual report for the customers they support. For implementation services, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering detailed documentation for the portions of the implementation they have completed.
8. Customer Satisfaction - The successful candidate will be directly responsible for the on-going support of the Server, Storage and Virtualisation customers. Maintaining high levels of customer service and client satisfaction is a key responsibility of the Consultant role.
9. Maintain Industry Certifications - The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that they maintain the minimum certifications for technologies that are key to Server, Storage, Virtualisation and Networking Portfolio.
Skill, Experience & Education Requirement:
Skills:
Understanding of x86 market and architecture.
Knowledge of sizing Server + storage BOM in line with customer requirement.
Industry play knowledge, viz Virtualisation, Data Centre technology, HPC basics, Big Data etc.
Good network and existing relationship with relevant alliance partners in enterprise product.
Experience Required:
7+ Years of experience in a similar role
Strong credentials and demonstrated success in Banking and Financial Institutions /Telecommunications, IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture;
Proven success scaling out an Enterprise Sales team and consultative sales success in establishing effective relationships with key decision-makers.
Demonstrated ability to continuously increase effectiveness of team, recognizing opportunities for creating new systems, structures, and processes.
Strong knowledge of Sales System reporting and dashboards, and highly focused on numbers and process
Assist/be involved in the selling process by writing proposals and giving solution demos;
Education & IT Professional Certification Required:
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related academic field.
IT Professional Certifications: ITIL, Certified Datacenter Management Professional (CDCMP); VMware Certified Professional Datacenter Virtualization (VCP-6-DCV); Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE); Specialist Implementation Engineer Dell EMC Unity Solutions (DCS-IE)
