SHOP KEEPER
Coral Tree Ltd is looking for a dynamic and results driven Shop Keeper to be responsible for its
organic fruits and vegetables shop located in Mtwara Town. The successful candidate will be able to
enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals.
Role and Responsibilities
 Develop store strategies to raise customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize
Profitability.
 Manage the supply chain and liaise with farmer groups informing them about market needs in
timely manner.
 Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to store staff.
 Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service; and resolve
complaints in a timely manner.
 Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
 Report on buying trends and customer needs.
 Report daily on sales and maintain organized records.
 Ensure availability of merchandise and services and maintain inventories.
 Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
 Liaise with suppliers(farmers), oversee quality controls and strengthen the supply side.
 Work closely with the Dar es salaam management team, organize logistics and ensure needs
of the Dar es salaam shop are met.
 Visit prospective customers and pitch products.
 Inform customers of new products or services and price changes.
 Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
 Maintain professional and technical knowledge about organic farming by reading
professional publications; and establishing personal networks.
 Increase visibility and credibility of the brand.
 Capture success stories from farmers and customers that can be used on website and social
media.
 Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing or related field; and/or 1 – 2 years work experience in
    related field.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Customer management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, logistics and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well alone and with minimalsupervision.
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to establish new partnerships.
  • Knowledge about organic farming and products is an added advantage.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
