Opportunity at Search for Common Ground - Invitation to Bid: Video Production - Swahili Coast (Kenya & Tanzania)

Unspecified /
Programs – Africa - Central & East /
Consultant - Local
Search for Common Ground (Search) is a world-wide Non-Profit Organization with the primary objective to change the way the world deals with conflict, away from adversarial approaches towards collaborative solutions.

Search has been working in East Africa since 2008, when we launched the award-winning series The Team in Kenya. Our work has focused on overcoming ethnic, political, social and cultural divides, furthering constructive interaction and healthy relationships between civil society and key government actors, and transforming violent Conflict.

Search is seeking to establish a long-term partnership with a video production company based in Kenya and/or Tanzania, to produce short video clips (1-3 minutes) on its projects on an ad-hoc basis. Because Search’s activities are implemented in different areas along the Swahili Coast, video production will involve travel to one or more selected project locations.

The video clips will be used both for national and international audiences and will aim at highlighting the results of our work in a succinct way. English subtitles will be required for each video clip.

The duration of the partnership would be originally established for 2 years.

Video producers / video production companies who are interested and qualified may submit:

    • A CV or web link showcasing prior experience
    • A quote for a standard 2-minutes’ video clip, involving travel to one location
    • Links to 1-2 videos they previously produced.

Evaluation Criteria:

    • An internal committee will assess the bids received, on the basis of:

      1) Proven track record producing high-quality video clips for a national and international audience;
      2) prior experience producing videos for international NGOs in East Africa;
      3) Knowledge of the Swahili Coast;
      4) Capacity to work in both Swahili and English;
      5) value for money.

    • Bids must be uploaded via this portal
    • Bids will not be accepted after the deadline
    • Bids must be sent in US Dollars
