ACCOUNTANT VACANCIES (6 POSTS)
Jazo industries is an emerging pioneer of soft drinks manufacture in Tanzania, and are the leading suppliers of high-quality soft drinks ingredients and packaging materials in the country. We are looking for self – motivated, and results oriented six candidates with outstanding personalities to man a number of accounting functions in our industry. The candidates will be charged to manage all financial transactions; from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits, budgets and financial statement and related status of the company.

ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

1. MANAGE FINANCIAL AND ACCOUNTING STATEMENTS
1.1. Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports taking into consideration accuracy, completeness, conformance with procedural standards.
1.1.1. Prepare and verify daily report, daily income – sales and journal entries, daily sales receipts deposits
1.1.2. Compile monthly financial reports, and prepare financial statements: balance sheets, profit and loss statements
2. RECONCILE BANK AND CASH ACCOUNTS
2.1. Compare bookkeeping records for the same period to ascertain discrepancies and take corrective actions
2.2. Manage cashflows; spending against income, Detect fraud and bank or cashbook errors
3. PREPARE AUTHORIZED REFUND VOUCHERS
4. STOCK AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
4.1. Coordinate end of the month stock – taking and inventory count,
4.2. Keep record of all properties, equipment and other assets; description, value and location.
4.3. Evaluate inventory, real estate(property), and equipment
5. MANAGE TAX PROCESSES
5.1. Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, ensure tax compliance requirements – payments and reporting, Advice management on tax strategies, Perform long range tax and estate plans
5.2. Represent the company before tax authorities and provide professional support in favor of the company during financials issues litigation.
6. MANAGE BUSINESS OPERATIONS
6.1. Analyze business operations, trends, costs and revenue
6.2. Project future commitments, obligations and expenses against revenue and provide advice on the same, survey Operations to ascertain accounting needs, develop, maintain and recommend solutions for business financial problems.
7. TRACK PAYMENT TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS
8. MAINTAIN AND EXAMINE RECORDS OF GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
9. PREPARE BUDGET FORECAST
9.1. Develop, maintain and analyze budgets – compare budgets against actual cost
9.2. Prepare periodic budget reports and advice management on assumptions underlying budget forecast, and keep management informed of budgetary resource utilization
10. MANAGE MANUAL AND ELECTRONIC ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
10.1. Develop, implement and modify documents involved in preparing financial statements, making use of current computer technology to manage accounting and Financial records, develop, implement and modify new and existing accounting systems to keep track of all types of financial transaction, design accounting and data processing systems, prepare forms and manuals for bookkeeping and accounting personnel and direct their work accordingly
11. AUDITING
11.1. Provide internal and external audit services to the company’s businesses and individuals working within it, and auditing company’s financial documents and procedures
12. REPORT COMPANY FINANCIAL HEALTH AND LIQUIDITY
12.1. Report financial status of the company – establishment, investigate possible avenues for company bankruptcies and advice accordingly, perform complex financial analyses and prepare summary findings for management decision making.
13. ESTABLISH TABLES OF ACCOUNTS AND ASSIGN ENTRIES TO PROPER ACCOUNTS
13.1. Prepare general and subsidiary ledgers, Trial balance and Balance Sheet.
14. FINANCIAL AND ACCOUNTING CONFIDENTIALITY
14.1. Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct accounting database backup whenever appropriate
15. REWARDS MANAGEMENT

16. RECONCILE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND RECEIVABLE
17. COMPLY WITH FINANCIAL POLICIES AND REGULATIONS 


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Age 20 years old and above
Bachelor degree, Advanced Diploma, and or Certificate in Finance, Accounting or relevant qualification.
Excellent knowledge of finance and accounting regulations and procedures – Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience in finance and accounting functions
Strong attention to details and great analytical skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills both in English and Swahili
Computer literacy – proficient with Microsoft office packages (excel and word) in addition to accounting software packages the like of QuickBooks, Pastel
Working experience as an accountant will be an added advantage.
