Position: Project Coordinator

Overall Responsibility
The Project Coordinator of Nipe Fagio supports the Executive Director in project implementation.
S/he is responsible for managing specific projects, lead value-added initiatives and deliver in administration work.
The Nipe Fagio Project Coordinator works from the head office in Dar es Salaam and reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibility Areas
Core Project Coordination
• Design and manage allocated projects, campaigns and events
o Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
o Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
o Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
o Ensure resource availability and allocation
o Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
o Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
o Prepare planning, budget and evaluation reports
o Assist in writing project proposals
o Monitor expenses and expenditures against delivered and realized benefits
• Coordinate Data Management in Marine Litter Surveys and Waste and Brand Audits
• Coordinate Waste Pickers’ engagements and Recycling Made Easy Project
• Coordinate World Cleanup Day in Tanzania and represent Nipe Fagio with Let’s Do It World
• Support Youth Ambassador (YA) Programme
• Actively participate and represent the organization in various networks
Administration
• Develop templates for planning, budgeting and reporting
• Explore opportunities for grants
• Supervise and guide team of Community Mobilization Officers
Occasional Duties
• Participate in and support events
• Develop educational contents
• Any other urgent duties allocated by the Executive Director
Are you the person that we are looking for?
The Project Coordinator shall have the following qualifications and skills:
• An appropriate educational qualification in a field that aligns with Nipe Fagio's objectives and interests
• Passion to advocate for the environment, with excellent relationship-building skills, as well as public speaking and presentation skills
• Proficiency in English and Swahili, both orally and in writing.
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Drive)
• Excellent planning skills (Grant charts, timelines, deliverables, resource allocation)
• Knowledge on budgeting and financial reporting (internal and external)
• Knowledge on project reporting and proposal writing
• A good understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems
• Ability to convey tasks and roles and responsibilities to the team, and effectively monitor performance and progress and intervene where necessary to ensure progress
• High achiever with high personal benchmarks and standards
• Passion for learning and improving consistently
Proven experience in the above required, with a fair size reputable organization with multinational exposure (3 years min).

Conditions
• Full time, from Monday to Friday (weekends from time to time)
• Vacation time – 30 calendar days
• Minimum commitment 12 months, with an opportunity for extension
• Contract has the option to be extended by Nipe Fagio
• Salary: Market related to be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience
