Job Title | Human Resource Manager |

Key Responsibilities & Tasks | Planning
● Work closely with Head of School to develop the HR strategy and annual plans to address: ○ Organization culture and change management ○ Workforce management and succession planning ○ Diversity, equity and inclusion ○ Recruitment and hiring ○ Onboarding and orientation ○ Learning and leadership development ○ Clarification of roles and responsibilities ○ Performance Review ○ HR issues management ● Work with Head of School and School Director to develop, recommend and update HR policies and procedures ● Actively develop new and innovative ideas to engage employees and improve employee performance and retention ● Stay updated on current HR best practices that may positively influence HR policies and operations ● Facilitate and annual policy review process |
Implementation
● Foster organizational culture that aligns with the school’s values, vision, mission and policies ● Manage implementation of HR strategy and annual plan ● Ensure clear and regular communication and review of up-to-date HR policies and procedures (child protection policy, staff code of conduct, communications and data policy, etc) ● Ensure thorough and accurate records-keeping of all recruitment data and personnel files ● Maintain organizational charts and employee directory ● Manage implementation of the school’s salary structure ● Develop job descriptions in consultation with the relevant team members ● Manage recruitment process including advertising, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, job offers and contract management ● Manage international employee immigration matters to ensure compliance with TZ labor and immigration laws and timely implementation of immigration requirements ● Manage new employee onboarding and induction ● Manage performance review process for all staff members ● Manage exit clearances for outgoing staff members ● Manage employee contracts ● Be fully engaged in employee management issues including performance management, conduct issues, resignations and terminations ● Ensure compliance with all TZ government requirements including labor law and relevant tax law |

Experience | ● Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration or a related field
● At least three years of experience working in a similar role for a business, school or NGO |
