JOB DESCRIPTION: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
Job Location:  Tanga
Reporting to:   Zonal Business Manager
Direct Reportees:  Regional Sales Executive(s)

Position Description:
 
The job holder will be responsible for achieving revenue targets for their assigned regions by
aligning their sales teams to volumes of SKUs as per the budget.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide leadership in route to market (RTM) & distributor development and ensure ownership
at retail level hence increase sales revenues.
• Provide market leadership in the design and entrenchment of retail execution, mutual benefit
customer’s trade relationships while building healthy product and brand portfolios.
• Ensure the sales team wins at the point of sale (POS) through excellent Trade Marketing
execution and relationship management.
• Lead in the formulation of the tactical sales strategy, business plans implementation programs
and budgets within the designated region(s).
• Engage and manage staff performance, capability and capacity development through
coaching and field accomplishments.
• Optimize route to market through design and implementation of robust best practice in sales
and distribution models including third party management.
• Regional Sales Manager acts as the company’s main representative in the region.
 
KPIs
• Deliver within the sales targets (monthly and quarterly) on PAYGO and Portable portfolio
• Growth of active distributor network and SEPs
• Delivery of collection and delinquency targets
 
Desired Skills & Experience
• Minimum degree in a business field acquired from a reputable university
• 3 years’ Experience working in a rapid sales growth environment  
• Proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets and building partnerships
• Demonstrate problem solving capability – ability to create win-win situations while deriving
desired numbers and outcomes
• Strong mindset for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding expectations and able
to demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality  
• Passion for social enterprise, development of people and environmental benefits
