Position: Maintenance Planner
Reporting to: Work Management Superintendent
Location: Tanga
Key responsibility
Performs the activities for the Work Management functions as well as the successful provision of the required;
• Systems (Computerised Maintenance Management System- (CMMS), Preventive Maintenance
Management System, Specialised Planning & Scheduling Systems).
• Various Methodologies, Methods, Tools, Techniques and Practices required to successfully provide the
outputs from the Work Management function
• Skill to ensure success in the Work Management function
• Ability to apply the skills for Work Management function, successfully.
Principal Accountabilities
Performs the activities of maintaining the asset master data in the CMMS.
Ensure the availability of the required skill to maintain the Master Data.
Master Data is audited at least annually in accordance to the established standards and as per business-critical
equipment requirements, to ensure master data quality.
Performs the Activities that ensure the correct implementation and maintenance of the Notification and Work
Order Process.
Ensure the availability of the required skill to maintain the Notification and Works Order Process.
Performs the Activities that ensure the correct implementation and maintenance of the Task Assessment,
Planning and Scheduling Process.
Ensure the availability of the required skill to maintain the Task Assessment, Planning and Scheduling Process.
Use electrical and mechanical standards during the planning phase
Performs the Activities that ensure the correct implementation and maintenance of the Shut-down Planning and Control Process. The shut-down process is an extension or follow on of the TAPS process.
Ensure the availability of the required skill to maintain the Shut-down Planning and Control Process
Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at areas of responsibility.
Environment: Ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instil environmental awareness culture in his/her area.
Any other duties as may be assigned
Education
FTC/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Knowledge and Specific Experience
Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in cement or equivalent industry
Must have extensive experience in maintenance planning implementations and strategies
In-depth knowledge of the adopted Enterprise Asset Management strategy, management of the CMMS transactional and master data and Task Assessment, Planning and Scheduling process, Computer Literacy,
Technical Reporting, Practical knowledge of CMMS systems like SAP, Practical knowledge of Excel, Word & EMail Programs.
Fluent in English.
