Announcement of Partial Scholarships the Centre for Research, Agricultural Advancement, Teaching Excellence and Sustainability in Food and Nutritional Security (CREATES) for 2021/2022 Academic Year

The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) in Arusha, Tanzania, through the Centre for Research, Agricultural Advancement, Teaching Excellence and Sustainability in Food and Nutritional Security (CREATES-FNS), is looking for interested three (3) Masters students and three (3) PhD students that are enrolled or to be enrolled at NM AIST for the Masters or PhD in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. These scholarships are partial to cover research costs, publication costs and dissertation/thesis production costs only according to NM- AIST fees structure.

Eligibility criteria
The applicants will be required to submit the following:
1)  One page of motivation letter.
2)  Certified copies of academic transcripts a n d  certificates in relevant fields.
3)  NM-AIST student admission letter or student registration letter/form.
4)  NM-AIST Approved research proposal/research concept note with the focus in Human
Nutrition and Dietetics
5)  Evidences of excellent command and knowledge of computer application programs such as Word, excel, power point, and MS Project.
6)  A maximum of a 2-page of Curriculum Vitae (CV).
7)  Evidence of at least one (1) peer reviewed published or accepted paper as a 1st Author in the related field (Human Nutrition and Dietetics) for PhD candidates.
8)  Evidence of at least one (1) peer reviewed published or accepted paper as a 1st  Author will be an added advantage in the related field (Human Nutrition and Dietetics) for Masters Candidates.

Other Instructions

1.   Incomplete  documents  or  failure  to  follow  instructions  will  automatically  lead  to disqualification.
2.  Only successful candidates will be informed for further instructions on reporting time to commence studies at NM-AIST.
