The Kilimanjaro International Leather Industries Company Limited (KLICL) previously known as Karanga Leather Industries Company Limited is established as a Joint Venture company between PSSSF and Tanzania Prisons Service through its Company known as Prisons Corporation Sole. The Company was established on 17th May 2017 to undertake development and operate leather industries in Karanga area, Moshi Municipality.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

 

  1. JOB TITLE: LEGAL OFFICER – CORPORATE 1 POSITION

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Holder of LLB degree from a recognised higher learning institution, plus one year attendance of internship/The Law school, must have at least 3 years relevant working experience. Registration as an Advocate of the High Court is an added advantage. Must be computer literate.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Deals with all legal routine correspondences addressed to the Company.
  2. Represents KLICL in various internal and external consultations and negotiations on Legal issues to ensure KLICL’s interests are effectively safeguarded.
  3. Provides sound legal opinion, assists in the interpretation of Labor laws, rules, regulations and policies.
  4. Prepares work plans and budgets for the Unit.
  5. Participates in preparing Board and Management meetings by drafting and ensuring timely circulation of Notices, Memos and meeting minutes to members.
  6. Prepares and ensures timely submission of Management implementation reports on Board resolutions
  7. Under supervision of Head of Legal Unit, represents KLICL in courts, mediation & arbitration agencies.
  8. Attends disciplinary sessions to ensure correct legal actions.
  9. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

  1. JOB TITLE: PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES OFFICER        1 POSITION

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Holders of Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Procurement and Logistics/Materials Management, Business Administration with a major in Procurement and Supplies from a recognised higher learning institution, with at least 3 years relevant working experience.  Must be registered by the Procurement and supplies Professional and Technical

Board (PSPTB) as a graduate, Procurement and Supplies Professional. Must be computer literate.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Prepares purchase requisitions/orders upon obtaining relevant approvals
  2. Follows up on orders for timely delivery
  3. Facilitates receipt, inspection and disbursement of goods to user departments
  4. Assists in preparation of Annual Procurement Plan and Tender Board meeting documents
  5. Supervises procurement of materials as stipulated in the procurement plan
  6. Prepares contract documents and maintains a list or register of all contracts awarded to service providers
  7. Prepares monthly reports for the Tender Board and periodic and annual procurement reports for KLICL, PPRA and GPSA
  8. Receives and issues vouchers, delivery notes and invoices
  9. Keeps proper records of purchases and documents in safe custody
  10. Posts entries in materials supplies ledgers
  11. a) Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

  1. JOB TITLE: RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT 1 POSTION 

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Holder of a Diploma in Records and Archive Management from a recognised learning institution, with 3 years relevant working experience. Must be computer literate.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Receive, record, keep and distribute incoming, outgoing and internally created mail (such as letters, memoranda’s etc.)
  2. Opens and prepares file indexes attaches relevant papers and dispatches  files to action officers
  3. Create, register and manage all files  for easy retrieval
  4. Maintain repository and reference services for all documents
  5. Record and arrange for efficient and timely dispatch of all correspondences
  6. Review and dispose all obsolete files or records in accordance with the National records and Archives Management Policy.
  7. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

  1. JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (Compensation, Benefits & Performance Management)       POSITION 1

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCES

ï‚·    Holder of Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management from a recognized higher learning institution with three years relevant working experience. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) is an added advantage. Must be computer literate.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Administers the company’s compensation and benefits plans.
  2. Prepares staff salaries, incentives, and all staff benefits.
  3. Manage and assess the company’s compensation, benefits and rewards program designed to attract top talent and retain employees.
  4. Monitors and researches on compensation and benefits trends
  5. Participates in the review of cost-effective and competitive compensation and benefits policies
  6. Ensures that statutory deductions, contributions HESLB loan deductions are effected and remitted on time.
  7. Prepares budgets, annual plans and reports
  8. Ensures proper implementation of Performance Management evaluation process, prepares performance management reports
  9. Coordinates the establishment and implementation of staff performance based awards, incentive plans, bonuses etc.
  10. Prepares and implements in house performance management training, prepares training reports
  11. Coordinates staff loan arrangements with various approved financial institutions
  12. Performs any related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

  1. JOB TITLE: SALES EXECUTIVE             1 POSITION

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCES

Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, with a major in Sales and Marketing from a recognized institution with at least three (3) years of relevant working experience. Must be computer literate.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Responsible for sales of KLICL products in different segments in Tanzania.
  2. Evaluate and analyze sales data trends, establish dynamics within the target market;
  3. Determine long-term sales strategies by sourcing new customers and establish distribution centers
  4. Assist in preparation of client/customer sales presentations
  5. Maintain positive business relationships with customers to ensure future sales
  6. Assist in negotiation and closing business on behalf of the Company
  7. Represent the Company on different marketing opportunities/events
  8. Assist in preparing and managing the approved KLICL marketing budget
  9. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

 

  1. JOB TITLE: QUALITY CONTROLLERS 3 POSITIONS

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Holder of Bachelor Degree in Production Operations and Management, Manufacturing Management in Quality Management, Bachelor of science in business quality management, bachelor degree in quality management systems or any relevant related field, with three years relevant working experience, preferably with FMCG companies. Must be computer literate.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensures that the quality of all products produced meet customers’ needs/expectations
  2. Performs various checks, inspects the quality of products at every stage of production, until the final stage of packing.
  3. Ensures optimum quality of raw materials is availed for manufacturing.
  4. Report on daily, weekly and monthly basis on quality metrics, on any deviations during the production process
  5. Ensures that the overall operations related to quality issues are executed to the highest possible standards
  6. Ensures that health, safety and environmental protocols are in place and followed
  7. Assist in New Product Development (NPD) projects
  8. Assist in co-coordinating and monitoring quality equipment rejuvenation and maintenance
  9. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

  1. JOB TITLE: ARTISAN            1 POSITION

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCES

Holder of Form IV or Form VI certificate with Trade Test Grade I/Level III or equivalent qualifications, with three years relevant working experience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Performs specified craft jobs under supervision.
  2. Performs routine technical cleaning of the work environment.
  3. Takes care of tools and equipment.
  4. Assists in operational repairs of machinery, facilities, buildings and infrastructure.
  5. Reports maintenance problems to senior staff.
  6. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

  1. JOB TITLE: UTILITIES SUPERVISOR 1 POSITION

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCES

Holder of Bachelor Degree in electrical Engineering from a recognized higher learning institution with 3 years working experience in utilities management. Must be computer literate.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure availability of utilities and equipment on a daily basis, monitoring and analyze operational data.
  2. Prepare execution plan for both preventive and corrective maintenance for buildings and utilities and prepare a report after execution
  3. Monitor and analyze buildings and performance of facilities in order to identify areas of improvement and develop alternative solutions
  4. Monitor all KPIs associated with utility and produce monthly reports including EHS reports. Ensure collection of energy data, analysis and advise improvement to optimize energy usage.
  5. Supervise staff, plan related duties and propose training /skills requirement to improve team performance.
  6. Develop optimal maintenance programs for buildings and utility, in order to maximize efficiency and reduce costs, while protecting the company’s assets.
  7. Identify and implement global initiatives and best practices to ensure performance improvement and consistency.
  8. Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Undertake field support activities in an assigned area or areas, such as at an airport, transit center, third-party facility, camp-based operation or sub-office, or in relation to transportation. 2. Perform airport services, such as providing custodial care of travel documentation; verifying identities and documentation, including exit permissions, visas, tickets and other items in the travel bag; assisting with airport formalities, including flight arrivals, curb-side assistance, check-in, luggage formalities, immigration procedures, security screening systems and customs clearance; escorting arriving individuals to ground transportation and departing individuals to their gates; visually confirming flights have departed; ensuring individuals with special needs or equipment receive appropriate support; and, as needed, sending notifications using relevant systems. 3. Assist individuals at transit centers or third-party facilities, including upon arrival with sign-in, verification of identity, orientation, food and non-food items and room assignments; during their stay with food and non-food items, instructions, briefings, activities and resolution of issues; and upon departure for medical appointments, return travel or onward travel with briefings, luggage support and transition to transportation. Enter and update relevant data in the appropriate systems and ensure vulnerable individuals are assisted in a manner that ensures their safety, security and comfort; report all issues immediately to the appropriate supervisor(s). 4. Provide assistance at transit centers and third-party facilities for extended periods of up to 12 hours and during overnight periods, ensuring the needs of individuals are met throughout their stay. Assist in the coordination of transportation from consolidation points, transit centers and third-party facilities, including liaising with service providers, ensuring the identity verification, readiness and organization of individuals being transported, and providing relevant briefings.
