VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT- GEMOLOGIST
SUMMARY
Tanzanite Experience Tanzania Ltd is currently looking for an Experienced Gemologist to fill in the vacant post at the Company. Preferred candidates should be dynamic, committed, suitably qualified, dedicated and eager to learn and develop experience through assigned tasks.
Duties and responsibilities
- Certify all stock for The Tanzanite Experience Tanzania Ltd,
- Certify all gemstones from our partner and deliver reliable certificate
- Proceed with frequent verification that all details on the certificate match the items in stock of The Tanzanite Experience and other partners
- Conducting a verification check for stock in all outlets of The Tanzanite Experience on regular basis and submitting a report to the Stock Controller;
A plus will be for the candidate to be able to work closely with cutters and jewelry and able to assist for the following tasks :
- Maintain a report of stones being cut and polished: that is the items weight before and after being cut so as to minimize percentage of loss;
- Completing all reports required accurately, timely and efficiently;
- Having knowledge in working with precious metals such as Gold and Silver for resizing jewelry will be an added advantage
- To cut, shape, heat and polish precious gemstones with utmost care and skill,
- Assist with Sales when needed
