To support its growth, Sagemcom is looking for a QHSE Manager for its subsidiary dedicated to Grid Infrastructure Solution based in Tanzanie.

Fixed-term contract - 12 months

Main Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, manage and implement the company QHSE Policy
  • Manage all the QHSE accreditation within the timeline given by the management
  • Single point of contact for QHSE aspects with the clients
  • Ensure HSE training and induction is conducted for all stake holders, at all levels.
  • Formulate and manage annual department budget
  • Protect loss and waste management
  • Coordinate and ensure review of plant risk assessment
  • Develop a QHSE system implementation plan in liaison with the Business Systems Coordinator.
  • Build relationship with government sectors, and keep updated with new regulations.
  • Developing company’s QHSE procedures
  • Keeping record of incident, accident and near misses
  • Supervise subordinates including local contractors
  • Conducting minor and major investigation.
  • Provide appropriate safety and health, accident prevention and investigation training to supervisors/technicians/office employees.
  • Build safety management information system by recording all accident report timely, complete in accurate manner
  • Assures that claims for injuries and illness are posted in the safety and health administration log.
  • Ensure that the processes required for management systems are established, implemented and maintained.
  • Ensure that the management systems implemented are effective and that any need for improvement is taken into account.
  • Lead the promotion of management systems.
  • Define and facilitate awareness and training on management systems.
  • Supervise staff training on OSHA + First Aid + HSE protocols, Defensive driving + others
  • Monitor and control QHSE on site during projects
  • Monitor and control QHSE in office environment

Your profile :

  • Bachelor’s in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Sociology or related Field, or BSc Health and Safety Management or BSc.
  • Occupational Health, safety and Environment Minimal experiences in similar positions and / or projects: 5 years
  • Experience with ISO certification if possible
